Essential Oil Diffuser

It’s said that man (and woman) does not live by bread alone, and that’s quite true. One of those other things you need is some essential oils and the right essential oil diffuser. As in the case of certain foods, if you feel yourself drawn to a particular essential oil, it can be because you need that oil. Based on aromatherapy information, different oils can help you deal with things like stress, fatigue etc. Once you figure out which essential oil you need, an essential oil diffuser can be used to disperse the oil into the air.

The Reed Type Of Diffuser

There are many ways to accrue the advantages of essential oils. One of the most popular is using an essential oil diffuser. There are many essential oil diffusers on the market today, from very simple to beautifully sophisticated. Reed diffusers are popular and very easy to use. Simply mix a few drops of the oil with neutral oil. The number of drops will vary depending on the oil as some of the oils emit a more intense scent. After mixing the oils in a jar, place the reeds into the jar. As the reeds wick the oil up their shaft the scent fills the room. One advantage to the reed essential oil diffuser, is that it seems to hold the scent longer. If you need more fragrance, simply turn over the reeds and the scent once again becomes more powerful.

Ambient Essential Oil Diffuser

If you want to deliver an essential oil to an exact location, there are other diffusers you can use. There are ambient diffusers that spread oils into the air slowly; you place a few drops of an essential oil in it, and then it slowly goes into the air. Another delivery system is a mister of some sort. There are fancy electric ones that disperse a mist of oil and water at regular intervals; there are even some that have a simple motion detector connected to it. When someone comes into a room, the sprayer shoots more of the essential oil mixture into the air. Or, if you want to go low-tech, just a basic hand operated pump sprayer can let you mist whichever essential oil you need. If you want to keep the essential oil strictly localised, a pendant is the perfect diffuser to use. You place some of the oil in the pendant, also called an essential oil diffuser, and then wear it. Over the course of several hours, the essential oil will evaporate and you can inhale its vapours.

Warmer Diffusers

When placed on a warmer, essential oils will dissipate more quickly, thereby causing the fragrance to fill the air for faster enjoyment. On the down side, heating the oils may cause them to loose potency for therapeutic benefit from the oil. Oil warmers are an attractive way to distribute the fragrance from an essential oil diffuser. Varieties of warmers as essential oil diffusers are available in either candle warmers or small electric light warmers. The candle warmers have a small tea light candle beneath a glass plate while the electric warmers make use of the warmth of a small electric light bulb to accomplish the warming.

I've got many different types of diffusers at home. The last essential oil diffuser I got was from The Essence Of Zen, they are inexpensive and have a good selection.
